Earlier in another thread you mentioned a waterpark near you that charges $12 per person. Were you referring to Splashdown Dunes or Deep River Water Park? We thought about trying one of them. Looked at both websites and don%26#39;t remember seeing that good a price. Do you have an insider tip on discount tickets?
For Fandt94
netterj - Hi there! LOL, the prices have gone up at BOTH of those waterparks. We didn%26#39;t go last summer but the summer before and paid $12 after the $2 Indiana Resident discount at Deep River. Now I see the regular admission before 2 PM is $18.95, factor in the Indiana resident discount and that makes it $16.95.
Rates before 2pm (7/4-8/15):
Regular admission- $18.95 ($16.95 for arrival after 2pm %26amp; before 5pm)
Under 46';- $7.95
12 months %26amp; under- Free
Spectator- $7.95
Indiana resident discount- $2.00 off the regular, under 46'; %26amp; Spectator admissions
The do have an August special though...I%26#39;ve copied and pasted for you.
SPLASHtastic August!
Deep River will be open regular hours 10am-6pm and all rides will operate throughout the day...but not all at the same time...and we%26#39;ve reduced the rates to make you a happy splasher!
Daily rates: 10am-6pm
Regular admission- $11.95
Under 46';- $5.95
12 months %26amp; under- Free
Spectator- $4.95
After 2pm rates:
Regular admission- $9.95
under 46';- $4.95
Indiana resident discount- $2.00 off all of the above rates
That looks like an excellent deal!
As for Splash Down Dunes, we used to go there all the time because they were so much cheaper than Deep River, but again, I see they have raised their rates too...$20 General Admission. I personally like both parks, but prefer Deep River overall because of it%26#39;s location, size and the variety of things to do. My kids have been bugging me to go there so we%26#39;re thinking of going tomorrow. I know it will be jam packed because it%26#39;s supposed to be a scorcher but you gotta do what you gotta do when it comes to entertaining the kids :-)
Where in Indiana are you located? Obviously it must be in the vicinity of both parks, but was just curious. We%26#39;re from the St. John/Cedar Lake area. Let me know if you decide to try either park.
