my aunt is thinking of booking disney for late 2007 with 2 teenagers and her DP. DP had a pacemaker fitted in january and while they presume he wont be able to go on any of the rides i am wondering does anyone have any experience of visiting disney with a pacemaker? will he be resigned to just hanging around waiting on the others or is there anything he will be able to do besides watching parades and shows, etc? dont think the lads (15 and 17) will really be into shows so will he be on his own all the time?
pacemakers and rides??
Oh heck no!
Disney still has tons of things to do that have no ';warning'; signs. At Epcot alone, he can go on.
Spaceshop Earth
Universe of Energy
Innoventions (not a ride/interactive games+great!)
The living Seas
The Land (which houses and interesting boat ride, Circle of Life (movie), and Soarin, which some people have trouble with if they suffer from vertigo, but is very smooth.
Imagination/with Honey I shrunk the Audience 3-d movie, and a very gentle ride called Journey into Imagination (tad hokey, but very colorful).
Then of Course, there are all the ';Countries'; with some lovely movies.
Actually, some poeple complain about the lack of thrills at Disney, and all of the ';do not ride'; signs are well posted.
If you look on Disneyworld.com, you should be able to check all the attractions, when you click on the different parks.
There is so much to do, and even the teens enjoy some of the ';kid stuff'; altho few of them admit it. You should have seen all the teenagers lined up for Peter Pan%26#39;s Flight at the Magic Kingdom.
Have fun!!!..Nancy Mc
pacemakers and rides??
At allearsnet.com, there is a page with all the rides that have health or height restrictions, and what the specific restrictions are. That will give you a good idea of the attractions that he may not be able to experience. However, don%26#39;t rule out the teens and live shows (they might be surprised, as a lot of them are very funny). There are usually lots of shops and pleasant waiting areas near the more thrilling rides, just because there are some people who ride and some who don%26#39;t.
thats great guys thanks for all the advice!
