Jensen's or Tween Waters, best places to stay on Captiva?

I%26#39;d like to read a comparison of Jensen%26#39;s on the Gulf and the Tween Waters Inn on Captiva. How are they similar/different? Which is a nicer place to stay? Pros and Cons of both? Distance from the gulf, quality of the accomodations, service, amenities, walking distance to the village, noise, busy-ness, traffic, etc. Thank you!

I think you%26#39;ll find several recent posts that come close to doing that.

I%26#39;ve only stayed at one, so I can%26#39;t compare the two.

Jensen%26#39;s on the Gulf are self catering cottages with no services and no pool and a wonderful location. many loyal fans and some nice upscale units. ON the beach. Walking distance to restaurants, bay, kayak rental and shops. Getting into the parking lot can be a bear in season. Only the 2 condo type units are near a road.

Tween Waters is a resort with rooms, cottages and a marina. They have restaurants, bar, pool, tennis courts and the like. It is on the bay and across a lane from the Gulf. All traffic in and out of Captiva Village and South Seas must pass in front of Tween Waters, Not as quiet as Jensen%26#39;s, but a totally different kind of property. Bit further out of the tiny village area, but you%26#39;d be about a 5-10 minute walk to the village restaurants and such.

So it depends on what you want.
