Best place to eat in MGM WITH 16 AND 13 yr old?

any ideas regarding the best place to eat at MGM? Both my husband and I like %26#39;nice%26#39; food but this holiday is also about the kids and I don%26#39;t want them sat in some stuffy restaurant looking bored! Was thinking about Brown Derby but not sure, how about sic-fi restaurant? What sort of age does it attract? are my children too old for sci-fi? Sorry for all the questions but am getting more and more confused by the day!

My vote is the 50%26#39;s Prime Time Cafe.

We ate at Holloywood and Vine a few weeks ago.

It is a buffet place, and if you are on the meal plan it is one table service. The Brown Derby counts for two meals.

The food was good (not fanstatic) and there was a wide range of food. The deserts were good, and small so you could taste a few different ones. But the place did not really have any ';special atmosphere'; just a regular restaurant

Hi,

Brown Derby is really nice, but it%26#39;s not sfuffy at all.

My first choice would be Prime Time. It%26#39;s very funny, and the waiters usually tend to ';harass'; the adults more in order to entertain the kids. I saw a group of kids in hysterics, as the waitress did the ';airplane'; maneuver to force feed carrots to their dad.Don%26#39;t miss is. Great fun!

ps. no elbows on the tables.

Another vote for Prime Time - we%26#39;ve booked it for our forthcoming trip - my kids are 12 and 14. We had such a good time last time that it was a must on our list. The food isn%26#39;s brilliant but it%26#39;s good staple fare. However, the fun is what makes this restaurant and, as long as your kids are prepared for a little ribbing they should really enjoy it. I think the waitresses can easily suss out those who really don%26#39;t want to be picked on - they usually pick on the dad of the family most of all, which the kids love.

I agree with the rest. The Prime Time is a fun place. Your kids will love watching the wait staff mess with you.

The food is nothing great, but it%26#39;s filling and a fun place to go.

My husband was wearing a ball cap, and the waitress would not serve him until he removed it. Then she teased him about his hat head. It was the highlight of my 10 year olds day!

And yet another vote for Prime Time!

Stay clear of Brown Derdy with kids. Prime Time and Mama Melrose offer pretty good food in a festive setting(although totally different) Sci-fi is basically a hamburger joint ,good for lunch.

Wow! can%26#39;t believe no one made a pitch for the Sci-Fi. I think the teens would get a kick out of it. From the entry you can%26#39;t see much except what looks like a tall wooden fence. Once you are led around it, you discover it is the ';fence'; around the Drive In Movie theatre. The lighting is a little dim with the whole surroundings done to make you think you are under the stars. On screen runs a continuous reel of old sci-fi and B-Movie clips (fun and corny at times). Seating is in ';convertibles'; and the food is served from a ';snack shop'; type of structure in back like you would see serving popcorn at a real drive in. I%26#39;d say food and price wise comparable to the Prime Time, and also on par with the interesting theme atmosphere. So, between the two I%26#39;d say go with what sounds most fun to your kids- movie theatre drive in or living a 50%26#39;s TV show for a meal. Both are neat in my book.

Just to confuse things a little, my teens like Mama Melrose.
