beaches at destin pointe, holiday isle

Coming to Destin pointe in August. How are the beaches there now, I know they took a beating with the hurricanes last year. Is there still alot of repair work being done?

I was down there in June, and the beach in front of the Destin Pointe beach club was extremely narrow. You could barely fit in a row of beach chairs there at high tide. However, if you walk down the beach a short distance toward the jetty, you will find a super wide undeveloped beach. So, as long as you are willing to walk, I don%26#39;t think you need to worry about the beach. It looked like everything had been repaired at Destin Pointe, except for the houses right on the beach. Until there is a beach renourishment project that includes Holiday Isle (which I have heard will not occur for at least 2-3 years), these houses will be extremely vulnerable and maybe are not worth repairing. I%26#39;m sure you will like Destin Pointe, as it is extremely nice.

I went to a party yesterday at the Jetty East tiki hut. Very little beach in front of the pool and tiki hut.

If you are staying in Magnolia Point or a house in Destin Point you%26#39;ll have plenty of beach along and out to the jetty.

No repair work now, they did have their own private renourishment program where dump trucks were moving sand dredged from the pass. That has completed. They could use alot more...
