Westgate Lakes Resort Orlando, Fl.

Hi my family of four 2 kids and 2 adults, plus in laws will be staying here mid August. Is there a particular unit or building you would recommend. Do not like much noise since we go to bed around 10:30 p.m. to hit the parks early. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Is there a particular area that timeshare owners are given? We are exchanging and just wondering, since at other resorts this is the case. Thanks.

From the reviews I%26#39;ve seen, try to get a room on a higher floor and not overlooking one of the pools.

we were owners here for 5 years and have stayed in 3 different buildings. Building 700 is near reception and overlooking one of the main pools this will be too noisy for you. Building 300 is one of their newest buildings , it is nice quiet enough and if you get on floor 3 or up you should be able to see lake and pools. But the best room we stayed in was building 500 we had a lovely view looking right on to the lake and it was very quiet. You do need to watch as quite a lot of the rooms only look onto the car park which is not very nice. But there are also a lot of nice ones looking on to the lake which is what we liked best. Rooms just seem to be allocated on arrival, with ownders getting their own rooms first. We really loved this resort so hopefully you will too .

macgill thanks for the info. Do you remember what room you got at building 500. How far is it to the Disney parks. I also read somewhere here, that it is possible to see Disney%26#39;s fireworks?

Again, thanks alot.

can%26#39;t remeber which room we had in the 500 building but it was on 3rd floor, usually the rooms at either end of the building are the ones with the worst views sometimes the car park . If you don%26#39;t like the room you are given just go back to front desk (will often be a big queue and ask for a different one)

It is not far too disney parks , 10 mins up I4 or you can go along a back road can%26#39;t remeber the name of it but you will soon find it. And yes it is possible to see fireworks from certain points of westgate lakes but sorry Ican%26#39;t remeber where is best for this. Universal and Seaworld are both very close as well.

DO NoT DO IT.... read my review that I just posted. I use to own here and now it has been taken over by the ghetto (sp?) Gangs now. SCARY,,, go somewhere else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we use to own here also but we went to the palace i don%26#39;t understand as much money they charge you for everything that they can%26#39;t get this stuff under control when your on vacation with your family i didn%26#39;t experience anything like that i hope that they have not let the resort go like that cause i know that they check your parking passes if this is true they need the management to step up and do there job before they lose alot of owners %26amp; guest let%26#39;s get it together westgate
