Have you looked into renting Disney Vacation Club (DVC) points from DVC members? We rented points to stay at Beach Club last year and it was a big savings over the regular reservation price. There is a whole forum dedicated to just this on www.disboards.com. Weekends generally require a lot more points so you might consider a Boardwalk reservation for the weekdays and then go to a moderate for the weekends. Disney will move your luggage for you.

For that price pokerolls I would rent a villa at the Yacht and Beach Club located right across the lake from the Boardwalk. The Yacht and Beach Clubs pool beats the Boardwalk hands down as it%26#39;s a 3 acre sand bottom pool with a ship with a slide and waterfalls.

We love to go to the Boardwalk to play, but we choose Yacht and Beach club for our stay.

If your going to spend that kind of money, the Grand Floridian is another good choice.

If you are coming in August, have you booked your hotel yet? Why not stay at one of Disney%26#39;s moderate resorts? Then you can tour each hotel while you are here.

Check the All Ears website, a non-biased view on WDW and its hotels. On it our photos for each of the hotels. The Boardwalk is a beautiful hotel with a great atmosphere, hence the price.

Enjoy your stay!

You didn%26#39;t mention which size accommodation you would be getting for the $549 per night. That sounds pretty standard for the two bedroom villas at the DVC properties during regular season. If they are quoting you that price for a one bedroom, then it seems high. Keep in mind that if you%26#39;re in a two bedroom, you will have a lot more space and more amenities than you would in a standard hotel room, so that makes it worth paying more money.
