Thanks in advance for the help!

You%26#39;ll fly into Ft Myers International [RSW] about 45 minutes from Sanibel. All of the usually rental agencies are there and it is a VERY easy airport to get around. I would suggest one person get the car while others get the luggage if you%26#39;re renting from an on-airport agency. They are lumped together on a service road and you can simply make a left turn back to the terminals to pick-up your fellow travelers and bags.

On the way in to Sanibel you%26#39;ll see a building off to the left with a big orange on the top. It%26#39;s Sun Harvest and if you like good fresh OJ this is the place. They also sell all manner of citrus product. I often order my fruit from them. April is kind of off season, but they sell soft serve ice cream/orange sherbert that is very well liked. It%26#39;s a solid half hour from Sanibel, so try and stop on the way in or going out to the airport for your return flight.

If you%26#39;re trying for free tickets using your miles, Tampa International [TPA] is the best bet, but you%26#39;ll have about a 3 hour drive to Sanibel. It%26#39;s fairly easy, but boring. I detour over the Skyway Bridge for the killer views of Tampa Bay. There are rest facilities on the drive down. The route to the islands from I-75 is identical to the airport route and is easily mapped on Mapquest.

For adults only, try the small condos or cottages. They are quieter. The condos will have more privacy from each other as the bedrooms are usually split, but check the floor plans.
