trip report frm july 7-14

Will try to keep this brief if anyone is interested in reading..Stayed at the Regency Towers, its not as fancy as some of the newer condos, somewhat a little outdated and older , but has a great pool deck, pools and all the jet ski rentals ,etc at the ocean, Is also at a great location on Thomas Dr. Our room was in great shape too.

The weather was great.. Hot, at least mid 90%26#39;s,but great, the ocean temp was 86+. There was very little seaweed if any in the ocean. Was clear and wonderful, could stand in chest high water and see the bottom.

Went to Shell Island one day. If you have never been, be prepared,,it%26#39;s hot , no shade and no concessions. We thought we had taken enough but after a couple hours or so were ready to go. Will have to go back again, maybe during a little cooler weather.

Ate many of the places that are talked about here. Would have to say Angelo%26#39;s was the best. A super steak, go early beat the rush. Captain Anderson%26#39;s seems a little overrated to me. Was good food, nothing special, nothing bad.. Boondocks had a ';long, long wait.'; (thats what the hostess said, wouldnt even give a guess as to how many minutes), so we didnt wait. Wanted Mexican one nite and was told to try Los Antojitos. We were told correctly. It was good. Traffic was not too bad, we took back roads most of the time, but front beach wasnt as bad a I had remebered in some past times.

All in all a great trip, lucky enough to be our 3rd visit in the past two years, cant wait for the next one. Have a good one y%26#39;all!

Thanks for the report! I agree with you about Capt. Anderson%26#39;s, it%26#39;s good but way overpriced and overhyped, there%26#39;s better to be had in the area.
