We will be going to BG in September. I am moderately overweight 5%26#39;10%26#39;%26#39; 265lbs with a 40%26#39;%26#39; waist. My wife is about a size 18. I am a coaster junkie. I just recently put on a lot of weight in the past 3-4 years. I was dissapointed to go to Ceadar Point and not be able to ride the biggest coaster in the park. I am not blaming anyone. I just never had that problem when I was a 36%26#39; waist. I am interested in the coasters at BG, but would like to know if I would be able to ride them or not. I am especially interested in the bigger thrill rides like Sheikra. Do you think we could fit? What about the other coaster.
Busch Gardens and size restrictions
I would contact someone at the park for an exact answer on each ride:

Hope this helps!
Busch Gardens and size restrictions
Somthing else you can do is think about the type of coasters you have ridden before with a 40 waist. You prolly havnt ridden a drop machine so it probably wont help you with Sheikra. For instance if you have ever ridden a B%26amp;M inverted coaster with a 40 inch waist you more than likely can ride montu, or another example if you have ever ridden a GCI woody with your current weght you mor than likely will be able to ride Gwazi, etc. etc.
If you are not sure the typw/manufacturer/etc to compare to or if you need a reference for what coasters you have ridden to compare with whats at Busch just do a serch either by park or by coaster. Cross reference search are available here too. The website is at rcdb.com . Hope this helps.
Hello
I am also concerned with weight restrictions at Cedar Point. I am about a size 20, weigh 230 pounds. Am I going to have any problems riding? I am like you I want to ride all the big ones especially. Did your wife have any problems at all? Please let me know. I am very concerned. We are going next week by the way so please respond ASAP.
Thank you
The rides shouldn%26#39;t be a problem. My husband is 6%26#39;00, 265 lbs, and a ';big dude';. However, he had no problems getting on Montu or Sheikra, but the two of us (I%26#39;m 5%26#39;9 and 165) were a tight fit on Gwazi, the wooden coaster. However, last time we were there, the staff moved some folks around to let the larger people have their own seat. Might work for the both of you.
As for the person asking about Cedar Point, yes, he did have some problems, and thank goodness he could suck in enough air to get that belt across him. But it was tight, and extrememly close. The staff will not let you on those two new thrill rides if that lap belt doesn%26#39;t click shut.
