Taxi ?? for seabus or any other KW expert

Hi Seabus ! I%26#39;m the woman who called you today about Miami - KW transportation in July. A friend suggested Transfloridian, so I made a reservation with them. They will drop us off at The Doubletree Grand Key Resort on Roosevelt. We need to get to the 1100 block of Duval to pick up our condo rental information/key. Can you/anyone suggest a good cab company to use or other good form of transportation. Also any ideas on how much it will cost to transport the 3 of us to Duval? Thanks for any ideas.

You mean Transfloridian won%26#39;t just drop you off there?

Hmmph!

I think I%26#39;d look at other options.

Try the Five Sixes Taxi, 305-296-6666, Ben or Paulie. It will most likely be $7.50 / person, but ask.

It%26#39;s a shame they won%26#39;t just drop you off where you need to go. Does Transfloridian include food and drinks in their cost?

They probably don%26#39;t want to run the shuttle all around the island letting people off and then on for the return trip. Using the Doubletree gets them into and out of Key West on a regular time schedule. Drinks and videos.

Well, first choice (of course!) would be Seabus%26#39; service but, if that won%26#39;t work for you try www.keysshuttle.com they deliver door to door. Why use someone that won%26#39;t? We have used them for many years but did have some problems with them this past spring (they over booked, and my son had to sit on the floor!). All in all they are a good service with pick-ups almost every hour from both MIA and FLL.

The Doubletree Grand Key has a shuttle bus that goes into town and stops at two different locations --- Conch Republic Bar and Grill and over at Duval Square.

Thanks to everyone for their responses! I wanted to use Between the Seas, but seabus won%26#39;t be running a Miami-KW/KW-Miami shuttle on the days that we are travelling.

cedwards623 ~ Do you happen to know if there is a fee to use the shuttle service at Doubletree and if so, how much it is? Also, can you give me an idea of where Duval Square is? Our condo rental office is on the 1100 block of Duval Street. Just wondering if it would realistic to think that we could walk there from Duval Square. Thanks for your help.

There is no charge to ride the shuttle ---- just act like you are one of the people staying at the Doubletree. They all line up at the front of the hotel. I believe the shuttle leaves every half hour? I also believe that taking the shuttle to Duval Square will leave you within walking distance of 1100 Duval Street. In fact my guess is that it will be close.

Don%26#39;t even think about trying to walk it, especially in July. The Doubletree is out by the airport - a long, hot way from Duval Square.

What day and time are you arriving?
