Where do the locals dine

Will be vacationing in Panama City Beach in August with two teens. Would like to know where the locals tend to dine. Also, do you have any suggestions of must do/see activities in the area.

Thanks for the help.

Where do the locals dine

I%26#39;m a local and here%26#39;s my GoList of places I like to eat

Also, a few places over the bridge worth visiting

Since you have teens, it would probably be fun for everyone to take a waverunner tour over to Shell Island and see dolphins

read all your reviews. I was wondering about the one on schooners. See, I am not a local, but, I%26#39;ve always thought they had great food.. One of the best choices for me! I go to pcb about 3 times a year for about 30 years, and have never had a bad meal at schooners.

Also enjoy Sweet basil on front beach rd. Been going there since 92.

Huntsvillian - *shrug* all reviews are subjective and everyone has their own opinion. My meals at Schooner%26#39;s have always been so-so, and that seems to be the general consensus of most people who live around here. Of the actually on the beach restaurants, I think it%26#39;s the best (to be fair, I haven%26#39;t eaten at Pineapple Willy%26#39;s yet) but I just haven%26#39;t been as impressed by their food as I am by other places in the area.

I also don%26#39;t care at all for Sweet Basil%26#39;s, so obviously you %26amp; I have different tastes in food :)

Well, I didn%26#39;t mean to offend you, and I hope I didn%26#39;t. As I am sure you know better than me since you live there! I was just surprised because I figured schooners was one of the locals favorites. I was surprised at that, since I%26#39;ve always found their food so good. Maybe I just went on good days tho. : )

Sweet Basils to me is good but it%26#39;s also the only Italian resturant I%26#39;ve eaten at other than Olive Garden in many years. There was a great place in Douglasville GA I ate at that served Italian back in the early to mid 90s. Don%26#39;t know the name but was good. Anyway, back to the subject, I was just surprised. But, maybe I should try out more resturants other than Schooners when I visit. I love Captain Andersons also. Oh, just remembered something. I did eat at another Italian resturant in Panama city in the 90s. It was a small white building on thomas drive, and I think the building is still there but not sure, but, they had terrific Lasagna. Back then, my mom and I would stop by there and get it to go, as they didn%26#39;t have tables, but it was really good.

I remember the man working it said he could hire me and put me up in the back LOL since I liked the lasagna so much!

Anyway, I love Pineapple willys also. Love their ribs.

I%26#39;m not at all offended, it%26#39;s of course everyone%26#39;s perogative to like and dislike different food! I used to live in Key West and there%26#39;s plenty of ';locals favourites'; places down there that my husband and I both found God-awful and overpriced. TA is just here for us all to share opinions, no one%26#39;s word is law. Though I%26#39;d like to think most of us can agree that Dirty D1ck%26#39;s is horrible :)

With a horrible name too ; 0
