Hi to all you great sources of information! We will visit Florida last week of August till first half of September. I read earlier that ';.. the weeks following Labour Day till Thanksgiving ..';are usually less crowded. May we expect fewer visitors from Tuesday following Labour Day on or do many visitors tend to take the week off when Monday is a holiday (as they would tend to do here in Europe). If the latter is the case, than we would postpone our WDW visit until second week of September.
nice greetings from sunny Vienna - Christian
WDW still crowded the days RIGHT AFTER Labour Day?
Typically, all the kids in the U.S. are back in school on the Tuesday after Labor Day, so the crowds ';should'; thin out beginning that day.
We will be arriving on the Saturday following Labor Day and, except for the Night of Joy concerts happening that weekend (Sept 8th and 9th), crowds should be much smaller.
For sure, you%26#39;re best days during that time frame will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The Friday and Saturday of that week may be crowded once again because of the concerts.
WDW still crowded the days RIGHT AFTER Labour Day?
Actually, a lot of people will take the week BEFORE off, so that the holiday adds an extra day. This is especially true if their children don%26#39;t have to report for school until the Tuesday after Labor Day.
Will you be staying on Disney property? If so, check my earlier posting (just click on my user ID) - there is a discount code for room reservations in Sept. Or go to www.mousesavers.com.
Hello Christian,
If your schedule allows it I would plan your visit the second week of September to allow for the Labor Day visitors to clear out.
Also want to say my 84 year old father in law was born in Austria, our last name means ';of'; Caneva. He%26#39;s been in the states since 1955!
Welcome to the Orlando forum and if you have any other questions don%26#39;t hesitate to ask!
Just wanted to chime in.
The Florida kids go back to school in early August. Many Florida families will keep the kids out of school a day or two after labor day and hit the parks.
