Construction on the West End.

How much construction is in progress on the west end? I%26#39;m looking at Celadon and Calypso for next summer, but I keep reading about the new Pier Park that%26#39;s coming. How close are these condos to the construction?

They are both quite far from Pier Park, I mean easy driving distance but not close enough to be bothered by construction.

And you know they%26#39;ve been saying Pier Park is coming for the whole time I have lived here and it%26#39;s still nothing but a huge empty space except for a new Target being built in the corner.

Can you tell what is next to both the Celadon and Calypso? Are they close together? Also, what are your impressions based on the outside appearance? Is it true that this area is very peaceful and quiet?

Calypso is beautiful, we went in there when they were still not quite open out of curiosity. It%26#39;s across the street from one of my favourite restaurants (Calypso Beach Cafe) and in a great location. Gulf world is very nearby.

Celadon is further away, more peaceful, less traffic, more of a residential area. Really nice condo, great place for a ';get away from it all'; vacation.

They%26#39;re both nice places, it just depends on if you want more peace and quiet or if you want more things within walking distance.

Is the Celadon all by itself or are there other accomodations next to it?

Snowfly, the west end IS the quieter end and the Calypso isn%26#39;t in a super action packed spot like next door to LaVela or anything, it%26#39;s just that Celadon is in a REALLY quiet area :) You can see from this picture that it%26#39;s the only condo in the immediate area
