Cool Hotel Near Sea World

Hey Everyone!

My hubby (32) and I (28) are going to Orlando September 1st through 4th for Labor Day weekend. We live in South Florida and try to get up to Orlando once a year. We picked Sea World because I have not been there since I was little and hubby has never been there.

I would like to stay at a hotel near Sea World. The hotel that I am kind of looking for is a nice place with a very cool pool area. Does anyone know of a hotel that has a cool outside bar/patio area with live music by the pool? I would like to do one day at Sea World and another day just hanging out by the pool.

If anyone knows of anything, I would GREATLY appreciate it. I was looking at the Orlando Marriott Renaissnce. Feed back would be great!!!

Cool Hotel Near Sea World

There is a Renaissance Orlando Resort at Sea World; don%26#39;t think it has anything to do with Marriott.

The Renaissance is the closest resort or hotel to Sea World. Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Sea World International Center is across the street, and Marriott Grande Vista and Marriott Cypress Harbor and Horizons By Marriott are close by, as well as a Hilton Garden Inn. Sheraton Vistana Villages and Hilton Grand Vacations Club at International Drive are farther away.

. . . and the Residence Inn Orlando SeaWorld International Center is also nearby. The Marriott%26#39;s I mentioned above and the Hilton GVC%26#39;s are all timeshare resorts.

Myself and my family stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn by Sea World last December. It had studios and suites and was really nice.They served a complimentary buffett breakfast. They had a nice pool with a bar along side the pool for drinks and snacks. There wasn%26#39;t any live music while we were there though, but it was a nice hotel.

No question, for upscale and all the trapping of a complete resort, Renassiance Resort. Marriott owns the Renassiance chain so you can book through marriott.com

We stayed at the Marriott Grande Vista this past November. What a terrific place! The grounds and the pools were beautiful. The pool by the bar area was where we spent a lot of our time. I know they had music playing in the evening, but I can%26#39;t recall if it was live music. It%26#39;s very close to Sea World.

Gorgeous pool, huge patio, outside bar...a very short drive to Seaworld. There should not be HUGE crowds at the pool area as they are opening their residential buildings one by one and I expect that only a few will be occupied by September. We were very pleased with this choice when we went down in May.

The Renaissance has been undergoing room renovations, which are nearly complete, but they will be starting the renovations of the public areas soon, which may or may not cause disruptions to guests. I would contact the hotel directly for an update before making any reservations.

The Sheraton World Resort has a great pool area and is very close to Sea World. They have food and drink service available poolside, but I don%26#39;t remember whether they have live music or not.

Those are the only two in the immediate vicinity of Sea World that have great pool areas. The other hotels have pools, but nothing special like it seems you want. Of course, there are plenty of resorts in Orlando with great themed pool areas, but they aren%26#39;t within walking distance to Sea World.

There is a pretty cool pool area really close to SeaWorld. Its called Discovery Cove.

I vote for Marriotts Grande Vista! We were there in April and are returning in August. Great pools- four of them! And music by the pool with the restaurant and bar. Right there at Sea World great location. Publix right around the corner for a few groceries. Pizza Hut, Ice Cream and several restaurants at hotels. Paddle boats for the lake there that look like rubber duckies or swan%26#39;s! Yes it is a time share but you can get rooms if timeshares are not all being used.
