Hi,
I have booked a weeks stay in the Wyndham for August %26amp; am thoroughly concerned now having read so many poor reviews. I hope it turns out ok!
Anyway, I was wondering if someone could tell me if car-parking is close to your room, seeing as the hotel is so spread out???
I have requested a room in the newer blocks by the pool, but don%26#39;t want to have to spend ages walking to reception or the main strip of I-Drive.
Does anyone have any info on the parking facilities?
Thanks in advance.
Wyndham Resort - Car Parking
hey jules,
there is loads of parking outside each block so don%26#39;t worry about getting parked also there%26#39;s staff always driving about in buggy%26#39;s when we stayed there they would stop and offer us a lift .
if your rooms by the pool its only a 3min walk to i-drive and reception enjoy...
cheers

Great stuff!
Thanks for the prompt reply.
If you have any other tips on this hotel or the area i would really appreciate them.
Don%26#39;t worry about the poor reviews. I found the rooms were adequate for resting my head at night and the grounds are perfect for those all important ';rest days';. A bar next to the pool, what more do you want?
I am always surprised at the bad reviews that the wyndham gets, we stayed there for 2 weeks and really enjoyed ourselves. We were given a room right at the back in the furthest away block, but this wasn%26#39;t too much of a problem as we found it really quiet and it was maybe a10 minute walk at the most but as the grounds are so nice we didn%26#39;t mind. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location, there are LOADS of places to eat near-by which cater for all needs (my personal favourites are tony roma%26#39;s, race rock, bahama breeze and cafe tu tu tango). the hotel offers a shuttle service to seaworld and universal, although I%26#39;m assuming you are hiring a car if you%26#39;re asking about car parking. There is a supermarkets situated just across the road so you can get an bits you want to keep in your room. The hotel has 2 pool areas (one with a bar) we found this one to be quite busy with lots of kids where-as the other pool (near the front entrance) was much quieter. Both pools provide towels so you don%26#39;t have to worry about carrying your towels down with you. We didn%26#39;t eat in the hotel resturant and found the on-site shop to be quite overpriced (but they always are as you pay for the convenience). All in all I wouldn%26#39;t worry about the ad reviews we had a lovely time and would definately go back to the wyndham again!
A couple of times we found we were in need of something quick to eat either at lunchtime or at dinner time when we couldn%26#39;t be bothered going out looking for somewhere and the Gatorville pool bar was adequate. We managed to share their Chicken Caeser Salad between myself, my girlfriend and her 7 year old daughter, all for about $10.
Can anyone recommend a block or a room to stay in?
If you don%26#39;t want a 10 min walk every time you leave your room, don%26#39;t stay at the back of the property, if it is hot and humid you will be worn out by the time you even get onto I-Drive.
