Hola,
I went My Travel last time from Glasgow to Sanford. There are other topics in here somewhere - use the search facility to find them and you%26#39;ll get everything there is.
Briefly I did some searching pre-flight and found a lot of suggestions that they were always (as in without exception!) delayed and true to form I was delayed 2-3 hrs going and about 6 coming back (which was a real killer).
I suppose they are like any other charter. Not sure about the planes now but 3 years ago they didn%26#39;t have screens in headrests or anything, a wee bit cramped, anal about hand luggage but that was just relatively post 9/11 so things were tight alround.
It was a nice smooth flight though I have to say compared to the BA flight the previous occasion where we went down a set of stairs when landing at Orlando Int (or so it felt).
Staff were okay on the flight.
Early check in is it?
I%26#39;m off on Saturday from Glasgow crack of dawn (ish).
Just been packing what woul appear to be an empty suitcase except for my skateboard stuff!!

No frills and you have to pay for extras like earphones etc. Cramped and uncomfortable - so my son says.
Cheers folks,
did some searching for myself as well and got the same results, delays, no frills, nothing special but at the end of the day as long as we get there and back safely that will do me.
Already got headphones and will be taking on plently of snacks as well, ive got no intention of paying their prices whilst on board.
Im flying out on saturday as well, 11.30 from glasgow gotta be up early doors though to get through there in time.
Whats the upgrade like on My Travel? What do you get? Doesn%26#39;t cost much...
As far as i can make out there is no upgrade available on charter flights to orlando, not to the premier gold service anyway, its a case of pack em in like sardines and to hell with the comfort!!
The only upgrade possible is extra legroom which when i asked about they quoted me 拢70 per person. Dont think thats really worth it when you can just find and ask for the best seats on the type of plane you are flying on. Failing that just ask for the best seats available when checking in.
PS still checking this one out but, apparently if you dont pre-book your in flight meal you still get one supplied anyway as they have no way of telling who has paid and who hasnt!! Heard a few stories regarding this one now, will let you know what i find out as there is no point paying for something you can get for free!!!!!!!!!
I%26#39;ve had family who upgraded when they used My Travel to go to Dom Rep %26amp; said it was excellent.
Just assumed they did it to Orlando too - oh well - First Choice or Virgin it is then.
I could ask how good Travel City Direct is... just to stir it all up :-)
I have just booked recently with airtours, who use my travel. We have paid 拢179 per person to upgrade to what they call premair gold, with extra legroom and seat back tvs, not sure what plane it is.
When we travelled to orlando in 2004 we upgraded with thomas cook airline and that was 拢149 per person, and the best 拢149 we could have spent, they had big cream leather seats etc, somehow dont think this will be the case with my travel though! It does make a difference however on a 9hr flight.
We had the best return flight from Sanford ever with MyTravel, we upgraded to Premier Gold, and the cabin crew, on seeing our big sad faces, decided to cheer us up with lots of wine, it%26#39;s the only time I have ever e-mailed an airline to thank them for a great time.
Seats were comfy, food good.
I would go with them again.
It%26#39;s just that Travel City is so cheap....doh...done it again.
So how much does this upgrade plus airfare come to?
Would it not be cheaper to buy a scheduled ticket?
my upgaded flight was booked as a package on line with hotel etc, not sure how it would be if it was purchased separately with a flight only.
