Hotel Refrigerators - Free or Not??

I%26#39;m getting conflicting info. depending what website or guidebook I read - for the MODERATE resorts some say the refrigerators are already in the rooms, some say they are free but only on request and some say they can be requested for a $10/day fee.

I%26#39;m not sure why it varies between these three, possible Disney changed policy or amenities recently?

Does anyone know which of the three above is the correct one for any of the Moderate resorts?

Hotel Refrigerators - Free or Not??

In room fridges are definately available free of charge at all the moderate resorts. the best place to look for up to date info is

www.waltdisneyworld.com

and it states on here that they are available at no charge

Disney used to charge it seems the information your reading is out of date

Hope this helps!!

Hotel Refrigerators - Free or Not??

Here%26#39;s why you%26#39;re confused.

In MODERATE Disney resorts (and Deluxe ones), the mini-fridge is furnished free of charge and is already located in your room. If you room doesn%26#39;t happen to have one by some fluke, you simply go request one from the front desk and they bring one up FOR NO CHARGE.

In the VALUE Disney resorts, the mini-fridge has to be requested and you are CHARGED $10/DAY for its use.

The difference is which resort type you stay at. Value resorts are the only ones where you get charged for the mini-fridge and always must request one specifically.

Speaking of refrigerators, has anyone stayed in the new Wilderness Lodge rooms, and if so, did they relocate the refrigerator? They had placed them under the vanity and it made getting to the sinks difficult. I%26#39;m hoping to get over there soon to check it out, but I thought someone might already know.

On the subject of fridges, does anyone out there know if the Crown Plaza Hotel on Universal Boulevard supply fridges and if so are they free?

Just got back from Caribbean Beach Resort, there was a fridge in my room and there was no charge for it.

My understanding is that if a fridge is needed in any room for medicinal reasons, they will furnish it, even if the room does not come with one. We stayed in WDW and had a diabetic in our group, and mentioned this when we booked and got the fridge! It was wonderful! In WDW ask and you will usually receive at WDW!

we stayed at the holiday inn international drive, which had an excellent full size fridge, along with a microwave, safe, iron and ironing board etc, very well furnished rooms.

Stayed in Riverside last August/ Septemebr and the fridge was there free of charge.

All moderate resorts have a free fridge in them
