I don%26#39;t know that I would stay downtown and try to get to the mall. Every day the traffic backs up from the Millenia exit at Conroy Road all the way up through downtown, at just about the time you%26#39;d want to leave the mall and head back. If you stay near Universal, you could get back to your hotel without going on I-4 at all.

Oh dear...I think I would have to agree about avoiding the downtown Orlando area as a base to get to the Millenium Mall. The hotels around the Kirkman entrance to Universal Studios would be much closer ....even I-Drive hotels would be easier to get to than downtown Orlando. The traffic and construction detours around that area make it a bit unfriendly to a tourist.
