re first timer needing help

hi i%26#39;m planning a trip to miami for my girlfriends 21st birthday, as we%26#39;ve never been to miami before i%26#39;d really like some help on a couple of things that i%26#39;m lost with.

basically i%26#39;d like a hotel with a really nice pool, preferably beach front but i realise this may be asking a lot, and somewhere that%26#39;s a bit romantic, nice rooms etc that won%26#39;t break the bank. we%26#39;re looking at staying for 7nights at the end of october.

secondly after reading other posts i was thinking that southbeach sounds like the best location but i guess this means more expensive hotels. in terms of what we want from a resort we love eating out in good restraunts, and having a good choice of restraunts, whilst we may occasionally visit some bars we%26#39;re not really clubbing people. we do enjoy browsing shops etc in the day as well as the beach etc so if anyone can confirm that south beach would be worth the extra or recommend somewhere else in miami then that would be great too.

lastly can anyone recommend any good websites for getting good deals on hotels, or what lower priced airlines fly from the uk?

thankyou so much for any help

South Beach is the best choice. You can look at hotel reviews on this site by clicking the link top left and see the top ranks of choices. Decide a budget per night as the average price is listed as well. There is a button on each listing that says ';QuickCheck'; which should open up a bunch of new windows that have other websites with all different rates for the hotel you select.

I have found a new site called www.kayak.com to get amazing rates for travel. Not sure if it works in the UK. Do let me know if it works for you. I was all set to book a trip and then I tried Kayak and saved a lot!!!

A lot!

Anyway, decide your budget per night and then read the reviews on this site prior to booking. Any hotel from the 100 to the 2100 in street address numbers is the best location for shopping and cafes and such.

I have seen good deals for UK travel on Virgin and BA and travel packages on travelzoo.com as well.

Let us know how that works out and then we can help you plan a fun and romantic visit...
