TA meet

Hey all, it was a nice get together with Chipsch, Texasteacher and friend, hotandsandy at Inlet Harbor. A special thanks to hotandsandy for arranging everything and thanks so much for taking care of the bill, that was extremely generous of you,

It was nice to put faces with then screen names. Time went by fast, and hubby and I had an nice time meeting all. Hope to see everyone again on our next trip to Daytona.

Thanks again to a GREAT Daytona Beach expert, hotandsandy, we love this place!

Hey, Teachrsue, sounds like you and everyone else had a great time, and from what I have read, it sounds like Hotandsandy planned the meet perfectly, so congrats to her *claps =P*, How was the weather there? Was it sunny, warm? Or did it rain like predicted?

Did you do a toast for Imawinslow and I?? =P, well anyway sounds like everyone had a great time and I hope that next time I will be able to meet everyone!

Hey teachrsue, sorry I had to leave so soon. My husband was starting to get a little crazy watching a 6month old. Your welcome on the bill. Didn%26#39;t you know that was a business meeting? LoL...any write off I can:) Your husband was a sweetheart.

It was really nice to meet everyone. How long did you guys end up staying??? What about Texasteacher and her friend?

Pibb weather wasn%26#39;t great but none of us really cared. The music and company made up for it.

hotandsandy, we did not stay too much longer after you left. Mike from the entertainers came over and talked to us during their break..He remembered us from last summer. TexasTeacher and he knew some people and places from the past to talk about for a little bit. Then they played until 10 and it was last call. I hope your rhusband was okay with babysitting, maybe next summer he can join us. My hubby had a good time, and thanks for the compliment, I%26#39;ll pass the word!

Hey teachrsue, thought about changing your name now? Maybe exteachrsue? I think your keyboard maybe secretly be sabotaging you because it can go to the beach.

Yeah, that could be true hotandsandy, it may be a bit jealous. That%26#39;s a thought about changing my name, but I will be subbing some, so I think I%26#39;ll keep the name for a while!

Hubby got way too much sun yesterday, so we went to the movies today and drove around some. Back to the beach tomorrow, he has to put on more lotion!

Teachrsue, just curious, and I know it%26#39;s a little off topic, but how many years did you teach? Most of our retired teachers either come back and sub for us, or take one of our half-time teaching positions - they all love doing that!

Punz, first I must say we did not get to Julians and probably won%26#39;t, they had a bad review in the Daytona News Journal, roaches....

29 years all in grades k-3. started when I was 21 so that makes me, 50??? Yeah, a young 50! I had enough of doing lesson plans, writing curriculums, and summer meetings. Teaching is just a 9 month position, WRONG. I will sub and make enough money between that and teacher retirement to not have the stress of everything else.!

Now I can relax more this vacation in Daytona, last year we had to leave early because they moved my room the last minute and we started school so early in August. This year I can concentrate on nothing but the ocean.
