Tour guide mike?

Has anyone used this service? Good, bad or indifferent?

Tour guide mike?

Babymac, I used TGM when we went the first of June. I knew it was going to be busy, hot and humid and wanted all the help I could get. I personally liked TGM and got some great tips and insider info that I felt made the $20 well worth it. Also, the forums focus solely on WDW and you can ask all sorts of dumb Disney questions. If you go to Disboards you can get a discount. It takes a bit to wade through the web site, but I really thought it was worth it. Just don%26#39;t expect TGM to pop you out a personal touring plan. He provides samples and gives you the info to create your own. Not that we could ever stick to a plan, but it gave us a great start and we got lots done with little time waiting in lines. Also, the best days and times for parks was right on and that in itself was worth the money for me.

Tour guide mike?

Thanks tracie- I think I%26#39;ll give it a whirl. Only 3 months now til Windsor Hills!

babymac,

I am a bit behind so this may be old news for you considering the date of your post.

I used tour guide mike and loved it. We were there in June and it was crowded. I agree with tracidee who was at WH the same time we were. It was so worth it my husband even thought so and he isn%26#39;t to quick to spend extra money for such a thing. I think the whole reason my husband would even consider going back to DW is because we didn%26#39;t wait in lines. We would see people waiting in lines for rides we had already done with no wait or less than 5 minutes.

It is worth it!!!

I think you are staying in the same unit we did if I am not mistaken.

Have a great time!!

We too have used tourguidemike.com and were very pleased with it.

Be sure to sign up for the club or forum for the month of your trip - they%26#39;ll keep you updated on any closures or special events.

When you sign up, go all the way through the express planner function without clicking on any links to other things. People sometimes go from article to article and never really get the overview. There is just so much good information available that it is easy to get sidetracked. Once you go all the way through, click away to your heart%26#39;s content.

The forums there really are friendly and helpful.

Using this service, we never waited more than 20 minutes for anything.

So, is it different than the sample touring plans on Touringplans.com? I found the free sample one pretty useful, not sure if I need to pay another $20 or not.

Am I correct in thinking that touringplans is affiliated with the unofficial guide? If so, we%26#39;ve used both but I prefer TGM. The unofficial guide is great but the system is more ';commando style';, while TGM shoots for the best all-around experience.

Hi babymac

We too are going to Windsor Hills April 2007(seems years away) am dying to know what you think of it.I%26#39;ve read all the reviews on it and they all seem great.Just wish we were going now.Are you staying in condo/townehome/villa??we stay in a townehome

p.S. babymac,I used the unofficial guide to disney, you can buy it any good bookstore.I found this book FANTASTIC.I%26#39;ve read and re-read it.Found some really good tips in it that we used this year and found them helpful

We are going end of Sept /beg of oct so can%26#39;t decide whether we need to use it or not as it may not be that busy at that time of year anyway.

Aloha, we booked our condo thru vrbo and it was number 71064- is that the one you stayed in- if it was I%26#39;d love to hear what you thought of it. Can%26#39;t wait only 10 weeks to go!

I am a big fan of having a touring plan whether you are going at a busy time or not. Otherwise, you waste a lot of time asking ';What do you want to do next?';
