smoking!

Is it just the Disney restaurants that you cannot smoke in or does it extend to all restaurants in Florida? What about the Disney resorts? Can you smoke outside your hotel room or do you have to find a deignated area to smoke in? ( hopefully it wont matter as I will have given up by next may..ho ho)

Thanks ;-)

smoking!

I hate it when you are having nice meal and some idiot lights up a smoke.

I would ban smoking in all Restaurants.

smoking!

All Disney restaurants that I know of. I don%26#39;t know about all of Florida. We stayed at CBR and I smoked outside the room. I believe at the indoor hotels you need to find a designated area. Same as within Disney parks.

Thanks for that Mick . very helpful.

Smoking in restaurants is banned throughout Florida. The exception would be if there is an open air patio but then it is up to individual businesses if they allow smoking or not in that area. I do belive there are designated smoking areas in the major theme park areas including their hotels.

I don%26#39;t think that smoking-specific hotel rooms are banned by law in Florida (maybe this is what RntoTravel meant by ';designated smoking area in hotel';), though they may be restricted. I haven%26#39;t found certain evidence for there not being a ban or for there being one; an argument from silence would point toward there not being a ban. allearsnet.com mentions a non-smoking room as an example of a preference request for Disney resorts; if it is a preference request, it seems logical to assume that there must be a smoking room or rooms somewhere in Disney resorts, but I don%26#39;t know. But you can%26#39;t smoke indoors in a restaurant in Florida; just conforming what was said above.

This response is to a question regarding smoking. This was not written to invite social debate from either group. I kept my personal opinions to myself. This is for information only.

As a smoker living in Florida and a frequent guest of Disney, I can help you with this.

Most hotels have smoking rooms. The only two I have found that do not is The Ritz Carlton and Marriott Renaissance. You can also smoke outside of the hotel. The hotels usually frown on you smoking outside on the balcony. If the hotel has a bar by the pool, you will find plenty of smokers hanging out there.

The restaurants are non smoking. Unless there is an outdoor area to eat in. A good number of places have this.

All the theme parks including Universal and Sea World have designated smoking area%26#39;s. CityWalk and Pleasure Island have

outdoor smoking area%26#39;s as well.

Most rental car companies have non-smoking cars.

';. . .just conforming what was said above.';

I meant ';confirming';; excuse the typo.

I think Westgate Lakes has called itself a ';non-smoking hotel';.

Let me change my comments. Most hotels allow smoking but there are some that do not. I would suggest you call the hotel to confirm before you book.
