For my upcoming trip with the free dining plan, I%26#39;ve already made all my table service reservations at the Disney venues. Because we prefer to eat a larger meal midday rather than evenings, most of them are for lunch meals.
For those who%26#39;ve experienced both, is there any quality difference in the food served for the lunch or dinner meals? Would be we any better off quality-wise to rebook the lunches for dinners?
Tell me about your experiences.
Disney Table Service Dining---Dinner Better Than Lunch?
Some places have basically the same menu for lunch and dinner and some do not. Your best bet is to go to the menus on allearsnet and compare the lunch and dinner menus for the specific restaurants that you want. We have always be pleased with our choices whether we chose lunch or dinner.
Disney Table Service Dining---Dinner Better Than Lunch?
Because I don%26#39;t qualify for the dining plan (annual pass, so no tickets to buy) I usually eat my table service meals at lunch time because they are priced more reasonably. I also find the portion sizes at dinner to be a little overwhelming. The food quality is the same regardless of the time of day.
The important thing is that you eat your table service meals when it%26#39;s convenient for you. If a big breakfast is your thing, use them for breakfast. If you like your big meal mid-day, have it for lunch. If you prefer a larger dinner, have it for dinner. Don%26#39;t stress about meals to the point you can%26#39;t enjoy the trip. The meals should enhance the vacation experience, not become the entire vacation.
Some restaurants have different menus for lunch than for dinner, so it%26#39;s probably a good idea to check out the menus on allears to make sure you aren%26#39;t anticipating an entree that is only served for dinner. The restaurants that have the same menu often offer a slightly smaller portion size for lunch, which usually suits me just fine.
Thanks so much for your opinions and information.
Yes, we already looked at the lunch vs. dinner menus and did find some differences, but we understood that. I just wondered if, other than portion sizes, there was any difference in the actual quality of the food between the two. You%26#39;ve assured my mind.
Thanks again.
